WoW Time?

I bought the World of Warcraft Battlechest last night. Most all the dudes I know and talk to on twitter play so I thought now was a good time to join the group. I need a bit more social interaction, don’t really know many folks here in Texas. I guess I’ll get it via virtual world now.

I hope to install it tonight. Going to run it on my 3-headed PC and probably install in bootcamp XP on my MacBook Pro as well. Both should be able to handle it without a problem.

We’ll see, hopefully they won’t kill me for not knowing what the hell is going on.

WoW will run natively in Mac OS X.

My thinking behind putting it on XP would be I could learn it under Windows and not worry with a different setup. I can bring an external mouse and keyboard with me to Jackson and just use those with the laptop to play. Maybe that’s crazy, but seems to make it easiest.

Well first off if you haven’t started installing now you may not get to play today! Yes it takes that freaking long. After you install WoW do not update just go strait to installing Burning Crusade. Then let it update. You will now wait for hours and hours while it updates and then tells you ready, only to need MORE updates. Have fun waiting.

You guys are just making this sound SO MUCH FUN! Maybe it is like crack. You don’t want to play, but you just can’t stop.

Just the demo is 10gig on disk installed, and that’s without any kind of expansions.

I downloaded the demo so I could just see it and get it out of my system. That was 8 characters ago…
