Sirius, XM subscribers revolt

Sirius, XM subscribers revolt over merger-induced changes.

I’m happy so far. I mostly listened to Lucy, Fred, and Ethel under the old lineup. I haven’t noticed much difference in the new lineup’s Lithium, 1st Wave, and Alt Nation. Now I have NFL and MLB, and still have Opie & Anthony. Some people bitch just to hear themselves. You could be listening to FM so shut the hell up.

Wow…much ado about nothing there. Some people go overboard about things other people find silly or unimportant. I’m in the this is unimportant area right now. The only thing about this merger and the article you linked to is that Clear Channel needs to take a hike on ‘requiring combo-satellite’ radios to pick up HD. If people want it then it will eventually be included in a combo radio but basically trying to put another company out of business by forcing them to sell MUCH more expensive equipment that their CUSTOMERS DON’T NEED is ridiculous.

I’ve had XM for about 2 years now and I totally agree with your take. The line-up is essentially the same with the channels be renamed really…plus they added a bunch of content formally on Sirius only. I just don’t get it. Agree with Brian as well…Shut the hell up Clear Channel!

I agree as I’m now both an XM and Sirius subscriber until I cancel XM tonight.

I would be happy if they did away with the “Best of …” packages. My Mercedes’ built-in Sirius tuner can’t get the Best of XM! Just make channel 197 standard and I’ll be happy.

    Brian B? Channel 197? Isn’t The Virus 202?

  5. Brian Says:

On Sirius it’s 197 and in the Mercedes it’s only Sirius.
