ESPN Rankings for SEC
ESPN: Close call for Tide, but they remain No. 1.
6. Ole Miss: The sixth spot in this week’s rankings was the hardest one to select. Moving Ole Miss past Vanderbilt wasn’t easy to do, because Vanderbilt won at Ole Miss earlier this season. But Ole Miss has played much better of late and been in every game, whereas Vanderbilt has lost four in a row. The Rebels (5-4, 3-3 SEC) have a chance to finish up with seven wins or more this season. So we’ll find out if they truly belong in the upper half of the SEC.
Hope I don’t jinx them but I think the Rebels have a great chance to win out. Next up La. Monroe, then LSU which isn’t playing up to their normal standards, and we finish with MS State. All three are winnable games, 2 of the 3 we should definitely win.
I’m hoping for the Cotton Bowl, but that’s a stretch. I could make that one, but we’d end up playing a top tier Big 12 team that would probably kick our ass. Anything else and my wife wouldn’t be able to get of work long enough for us to go. I guess we could make it to Shreveport, but I don’t think we’ll end up that low. I’d take it though after 4 years of total sucking.

Just enjoy any bowl game that comes your way. Mississippi schools don’t get there enough.

If they go to the Cotton Bowl I’ll go with you and might even wear an Ole Miss jersey (despite the fact that it will make my skin burn.)

Haha, that’s funny.
