Top 10 App Store Games

Hadn’t posted anything in a while, time for an update. Thought I’d post a list of my top 10 iPhone / iPod Touch games. These games are one of the main reasons I haven’t posted anything lately. They are all very addictive. In alphabetical order, all links open in iTunes, here goes…

  • Blocked – Simple puzzle game. I’ve played all the way into level 43, lots of fun. ($0.99)
  • Fieldrunners – Hadn’t played this in a while, but I played the hell out of it when it first came out. The best ‘tower defense’ type game on iPhone IMO. ($2.99)
  • Flight Control – An absolute addiction. You’ll want to keep playing trying to beat your high score. A recent update added some new playing fields. Excellent for insomniacs. ($0.99)
  • Frenzic – This one has been around a while, but still fun to pick up now and again. Simple puzzle game, but the beauty is in the simplicity. ($2.99)
  • Parachute Panic – My latest game, another that you won’t want to put down trying to top your high score. Love the graphics and sounds, simple and totally fun. ($0.99)
  • Peggle – Totally addictive and challenging. You’ll never tire of playing it. On sale right now for $0.99, I think I paid $4.99 and would again. If you buy one game on this list, this is it, especially while it’s onsale.
  • Pocket God – Not really a game, just an excellent distraction. Take out the pains of your day on a helpless islander. ($0.99)
  • Strategery – Conquer the map one piece at a time. Looks simple, it’s not. ($1.99)
  • Wurdle – Another older game, excellent word puzzle. Makes as many words as you can with the grid you are given. I’m not very good at it but it’s still fun. ($1.99)
  • Zen Bound – Beautiful graphics, great music. This is a one of kind game perfect for the touch interface.

    alright, so i have been an occasional visitor of your blog since one of your visitor spikes. I dont remember which it was so long ago. Anyway, here are a couple iPhone apps that ROCK.

    Star Defense—-This is THE tower defense game, its 3d and very fun. Just released

    Tornado—This is a very cool destructive/sim style game where you control a tornado. They just added a mode where you go around picking up cows. Fun little diversion.

    Real Racing—–If you like sim racing games, this one is EPIC. Amazing they can do this on the iPhone. New game just released.

    I actually have that real racing game in my app wantlist, just hadn't bought it yet. Heard good things on those other two as well, will add to the list of games to check out.

    You know I just thought that the tornado app might hit a little too close to home. Maybe avoid that one.

    Picked up Star Defense last night, pretty amazing. Definitely top tower defense game I've played on iPhone. Highly seconded!!!
